Starry-eyed lying in the hospital yard
Seatbelts, blankets, doors biting keys
There’s a halo hanging faintly over you and me

Now winter’s boxing / tires in chains
Through all the phantom paths and blocks between lanes
With impounded offspring / and those doctors in blue
The heaving body breathing over rivers, houses and schools.

The express-way to the exit from this grief
